Things to consider when choosing a new basin

When looking for a new basin you’ll need to consider the available space and the style of your bathroom. Corner basins and cloakroom basins are specially designed for compact spaces. They make the most of the available space by utilising corners and eliminating pedestals.

If you have a large bathroom, there’s a wider choice of basin styles to choose from including classic basins and the more contemporary basin.

Different types of basins are designed to be fitted in certain ways, for example, wall mounted or countertop mounted. Countertop basins can’t be fitted to the wall, so it’s important to check that your chosen basin can installed in the way you require. Don’t forget to check what basin waste you’ll need. Our dedicated team can help advise on this.

Then there are the taps. This is just as important as choosing the basin itself. You will need a tap that matches the style of the basin and bathroom. Also, check that the tap is suitable for fitting to your basin. For example, some basins only have a single tap hole, with others having a double tap hole.  Some sinks don’t have tap holes, which means you’ll need to opt for a wall mounted tap.  Please browse through our range of taps.  If you need any further advice either drop us a line or call one of our branches, where a member of the team will be able to help.
