BRANCH MANAGER - THAME PLUMBING SUPPLIES


At UKPS we are looking for our next Branch Manager to join our Thame branch (TPS)

As a successful Branch Manager, you will be the driving force behind a small team whilst co-ordinating all aspects of the branch operations.

We are looking for someone who is focused and determined with a “go-getter” attitude.

 

You will be responsible for:

• Effective management of the team and resources.

• Strong trading relationships with new and existing customers.

• Driving sales to ensure maximum margin and net profit.

• Recognising team members and identify the needs of development.

• Ensuring UKPS procedures are adhered to at all times.

 

Ideal Candidate:

Experienced in sales and driving performance.

Experience in the Plumbing & Heating sector.

Can effectively supervise, develop and motivate a small team.

Excellent customer service skills.

Self-motivated and organised.

 

Package

• Salary negotiable Circa £40,000. Including car/car allowance.

• 20 days holiday per annum which increases with length of service + bank holidays.

SHOWROOM EXECUTIVE (BICESTER PLUMBING SUPPLIES)

We are looking to appoint a Showroom Executive within our Bicester branch.  An established branch, we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running!  So, can you drive excellent sales, with exceptional customer service?

The Role

This is a varied role, your main priority will be managing the bathroom showroom however, you will also be expected to assist at the sales/trade counter when required.

Day to day you’ll be the proud leader of the showroom, you’ll have the experience and knowledge to manage and maximise sales and deliver “top-notch” customer service.

Focused on generating margin, driving yourself towards a potential profit share at the end of the financial year.

Proactive in looking for leads and any opportunities to enhance sales and customer experience within the branch.

With an eye for a sale, you will keep up to date with the market trends and what is happening with local competitors. Also ensuring display, and marketing material is up to date.

Trade counter sales

Build strong relationships with brand representatives.

Resolve any customer and supplier queries.

Manage all showroom administration with any ad hoc duties under the Branch Manager.

The Person

This is a dynamic customer-facing role so, we are looking for a confident, “go-getter” with a drive for sales and attention to detail. This is a real opportunity to make this role your own!

DELIVERY DRIVER/STORE PERSON – CARTERTON PLUMBING SUPPLIES

We are currently looking for a Delivery Driver/Store person to facilitate our Carterton branch.

The role will involve delivering and dealing with customers, covering a radius of 40 miles approximately from the branch.

Main duties include:

Loading Vehicles

Delivering goods to customers

Customer Interaction in and out of store

General housekeeping

The ideal candidate will be:

A people person with good customer service skills

Reliable and hardworking

Efficient and committed to meeting deadlines– following Health and Safety procedures

Must hold a full clean driving license (for insurance purposes please specify your age on the application) and without any serious convictions

This is a demanding role with some heavy lifting involved, so the candidate must be fit and able

Must be local to Carterton or Oxfordshire due to the radius you would be covering.

Salary range:

Up to £21,000

Other incentives include; Annual Profit Share, holiday and pension scheme

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm (with 1 hour lunch break) Alternate Saturdays also required 8am-12pm

AREA SALES MANAGER

We are currently seeking a professional, experienced Area Sales Manager to join our trade sales team.  

UKPS is a leading independent Plumbing and Heating merchant with 7 branches across Oxfordshire.  We are also a division underneath UK Plumbing Supplies Ltd who have a portfolio of 8 brands, with over 250 branches nationwide, facilitating both trade and the general public.

The UKPS head office is based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire and currently employees circa 40 personnel.  We are a hardworking and friendly team with the shared ambition to continuously expand.  

The successful candidate will be a highly driven individual with a proven track record in Sales and Business Development.  This field-based role will ideally need the candidate to live in the Oxfordshire area, be of smart appearance and own a driving licence as travelling will be essential to this role. They will be switched on, down to earth and friendly, with the ability to engage with customers to achieve the company’s strategy to grow sales.

Main Responsibilities of the Role

Maintain and increase sales of company products.

Reach the targets and goals set for your area.

Establish, maintain and expand the customer base in your area.

Continually expanding product portfolios with existing customers.

Promote any new products to meet company sales expectations.

Fully utilising the INTACT system (training will be provided) with regards to orders and quotes, reporting relevant information to the appropriate department.

Plan customer visits effectively on a formulated journey plan.

Service the needs of your existing customer.

Collect customer feedback and liaise all relevant information back to the Regional Sales Manager.

Work alongside the Profit Centre Managers on any key leads.

Prepare activity reports and findings and present to the management team as and when required.

Essential Skills 

Prepare and manage price quotations for customers until finalisation of the deal.

Advise and build customer loyalty.

Strong negotiation skills.

Listening and questions skills

Field Sales Experience would be preferable.

Business meeting preparation.

Must have experience within the plumbing and heating industry.

Salary £34k (depending on experience)
