At UKPS we are looking for our next PCM (Branch Manager) to join our Carterton branch (OX18 3FN), the newest branch in our family.

As a successful PCM you will be the driving force behind a small team whilst coordinating all aspects of branch operations.

You must be able to build and maintain relationships with new and existing trade and retail customers.

Focused and dynamic, with a “go getter” attitude and high attention to detail.

You Will Be Responsible For

•           Effective management of the team and resources.

•           Exceeding branch sales and profitability targets.

•           Managing purchasing and stock control.

•           Setting the standard for your team and identifying the needs of individual development.

•           Keeping everyone safe.

The candidate must have appropriate knowledge on the range of products within the P&H industry and ideally have experience of dealing with suppliers across the product groups.

About us UKPS has built a reputation for selling quality plumbing and heating products to trade and retail customers for over 15 years through 7 branches across Oxfordshire.  We also operate fully displayed bathroom showrooms in all branches, designed to cater for every budget and requirement. 

In 2019 we became part of UK Plumbing Supplies the largest independent plumbing and heating merchant in the UK operating nationwide with over 230 branches.

 Full-time (Monday – Friday 7.30am -5pm) and alternate Saturdays 8.00am - 12pm



We are currently seeking a professional, experienced Area Sales Manager to join our trade sales team.  

UKPS is a leading independent Plumbing and Heating merchant with 7 branches across Oxfordshire.  We are also a division underneath UK Plumbing Supplies Ltd who have a portfolio of 8 brands, with over 250 branches nationwide, facilitating both trade and the general public.

The UKPS head office is based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire and currently employees circa 40 personnel.  We are a hardworking and friendly team with the shared ambition to continuously expand.  

The successful candidate will be a highly driven individual with a proven track record in Sales and Business Development.  This field-based role will ideally need the candidate to live in the Oxfordshire area, be of smart appearance and own a driving licence as travelling will be essential to this role. They will be switched on, down to earth and friendly, with the ability to engage with customers to achieve the company’s strategy to grow sales.

Main Responsibilities of the Role

Maintain and increase sales of company products.

Reach the targets and goals set for your area.

Establish, maintain and expand the customer base in your area.

Continually expanding product portfolios with existing customers.

Promote any new products to meet company sales expectations.

Fully utilising the INTACT system (training will be provided) with regards to orders and quotes, reporting relevant information to the appropriate department.

Plan customer visits effectively on a formulated journey plan.

Service the needs of your existing customer.

Collect customer feedback and liaise all relevant information back to the Regional Sales Manager.

Work alongside the Profit Centre Managers on any key leads.

Prepare activity reports and findings and present to the management team as and when required.

Essential Skills 

Prepare and manage price quotations for customers until finalisation of the deal.

Advise and build customer loyalty.

Strong negotiation skills.

Listening and questions skills

Field Sales Experience would be preferable.

Business meeting preparation.

Must have experience within the plumbing and heating industry.

Salary £34k (depending on experience)

Other benefits include; yearly profit share scheme, company car or car allowance and pension scheme.
